PS: I have tried casting using the VLC GUI but my OLD chromecast doesn't support HEVC / x265 files. There might be one in your menus already. But, there are better desktop screen recorder (screencasting) applications that are available to use which can record the cursor, and do so much more. This is a fundamentally impossible process that must always produce some image degradation, since it ideally requires 'temporal interpolation' which involves guessing the movement of every object in the image and applying motion. VLC is a wonderful multi-media player that can do a lot of various cool things.
I wan't to trans-code the x265 file "in-real-time" to a x264 format and have it somehow streamed / played on the chromecast using VLC. Deinterlacing is the process of converting source material that contains alternating half-pictures to a computer screen that displays a full picture at a time.
